Advocacy Academy
Launching Fall 2026.
Build the skills, knowledge, and confidence to create positive change.
The SUD Voices for Change Advocacy Academy is a leadership and advocacy program that helps people build the skills, knowledge, and confidence to create positive change. We welcome individuals with lived or living experience, family members, allies, and community advocates who want to use their voices to improve systems of care.
Through interactive training, peer connections, and hands-on advocacy activities, participants will learn how to share their stories, speak with policymakers, reduce stigma, build leadership skills, and advocate for meaningful change. Graduates leave the Academy better prepared to dismantle stigma, support recovery, promote equity, and improve access to care in their communities.
This Academy may be a fit for you if you see yourself in any of the following:
• You use substances
• You are in treatment or recovery
• You have a family member or loved one impacted by substance use disorder
• You are a peer support worker or provider
• You participate in harm reduction or community advocacy
• You are a community member impacted by substance use disorder
Join a growing network of changemakers and learn how your voice can make a lasting impact!
